Description
Industrial Strength with the 120mm Square Inground Bollard
The 120mm Square Inground Bollard (Safety Yellow) is a high-strength security solution. We engineered this 25kg powerhouse to provide a formidable physical and visual deterrent. Because it is specifically designed for permanent sub-surface installation, it is the ideal choice for safeguarding warehouse docks. Consequently, it protects commercial storefronts and critical facility infrastructure. Furthermore, this system ensures maximum stability for any high-risk property.
Key Features
Industrial-Grade Construction: This bollard features a substantial 6.0mm wall thickness for extreme impact resistance. It offers superior strength compared to standard commercial alternatives. Therefore, it provides a more durable solution for high-traffic areas.
Dual-Layer Corrosion Protection: We Hot-Dip Galvanise each unit after manufacturing for premium rust resistance. Next, we apply a UV-stable Safety Yellow powder coat. This ensures the bollard maintains its high-visibility appearance in the toughest Australian outdoor conditions.
Superior Inground Anchoring: This 1420mm post is designed for deep sub-surface casting into a concrete footing. The base features four 30mm hold-down lugs. As a result, the bollard remains rock-solid and cannot be twisted or removed once the concrete cures.
Reinforced Strength Option: The design includes a removable plastic cap at the top. This allows you to fill the hollow core with concrete on-site. Consequently, you can significantly increase the stopping power and mass of the barrier for high-risk zones.
Formidable Protection for Heavy-Traffic Zones
We built this unit for superior structural integrity and long-term reliability. It effectively manages safety for loading zones and busy industrial sites. Additionally, the heavy-duty square profile creates a reliable physical barrier against vehicle intrusions. Each post ensures your site stays protected while effectively marking boundaries for heavy machinery operators.
Professional Site Safety Applications
This square inground system works perfectly for both industrial warehouses and commercial developments. For instance, it provides an economical way to protect pedestrians and valuable assets from accidental damage. Many customers also use these heavy-duty bollards to secure storefronts or expensive machinery. Overall, it offers a professional solution that balances high-level security with long-lasting performance.
Don’t forget to explore our complete range of inground bollards to find the perfect solution for your specific security needs. From different sizes and wall thicknesses to various colours and shapes, we offer a wide variety of choices to ensure your property remains secure and compliant.

Inground Bollard Installation
1. Locate
Find where the bollards will be installed.
2. Check for Hazards
Always check for hazards such as water pipes, gas lines and underground wiring before digging.
Also check traffic conditions to ensure safety for yourself, pedestrians and vehicles.
3. Drill Recommendations
| Surface | Recommendation |
|---|
| Bitumen | Cut bitumen to a square at least bollard width + 100mm, then dig to a depth of at least 600mm |
| Concrete | Core drill with a bit at least bollard width + 100mm, then dig to a depth of at least 400mm |
| Sand / soil | Dig a 350mm × 350mm concrete footing to a depth of at least 600mm |
4. Install Bollard
Place the bollard assembly in the centre of the installation hole.
5. Concrete
Mix and prepare concrete according to instructions, then pour evenly into the site.
6. Inspect
Inspect the bollard to ensure it is level.
7. Time to Cure
Allow 2–3 days minimum for concrete to cure before beginning construction work on the surface.
Moisture and cool temperatures may slow the curing process.
Filling of Bollards
We do not recommend filling bollards with concrete, as a hard impact may cause the bollard to snap at the base.
If filling is required, we recommend sand or loose gravel, which still allows the bollard to bend on impact.
Note:
These recommendations are a guideline only and may not account for site-specific conditions.
