Description
Permanent Security with the 114mm Galvanised Inground Bollard
The 114mm x 1800mm Inground Galvanised Bollard provides a high-strength, permanent security solution for any site. Because we hot-dip galvanise each unit after manufacturing, this bollard offers superior resistance to rust and corrosion. Consequently, you can install it in harsh outdoor environments with total confidence. Furthermore, the 1800mm total length allows for deep-set anchoring to provide maximum impact protection.
Key Features
Hot-Dip Galvanised Finish: We treat the steel after fabrication to ensure complete coverage. Therefore, the bollard remains protected against the elements for many years of use.
Deep-Set Structural Integrity: The base includes two 25mm integrated hold-down lugs. These lugs ensure the bollard remains rock-solid within its footing and prevents any rotation or removal.
Heavy-Duty Construction: This 15kg unit features a 114mm diameter and a 4mm wall thickness. As a result, it provides a tough and durable barrier for high-traffic zones.
Simplified Installation Process: You can easily install this unit using a standard concrete footing. Alternatively, you can epoxy the post into an excavated or core-drilled hole for a clean, professional finish.
Industrial-Grade Durability and Strength
We engineered this heavy-duty steel bollard for long-lasting performance in the Australian climate. It effectively protects storefronts, car parks, and industrial perimeters from vehicle intrusions. Additionally, the 4mm wall thickness ensures a formidable physical deterrent. Each post also features a removable plastic cap. This design allows you to fill the hollow core with concrete on-site for even greater stopping power.
Professional Site Protection Applications
This permanent system works perfectly for various commercial and industrial settings. For instance, it provides an economical way to secure warehouse entries or boundary lines. Many customers also use these 114mm bollards to safeguard stationary machinery or pedestrian walkways. Overall, it offers a tough and reliable solution that balances high-level security with a professional, clean profile.

Inground Bollard Installation
1. Locate
Find where the bollards will be installed.
2. Check for Hazards
Always check for hazards such as water pipes, gas lines and underground wiring before digging.
Also check traffic conditions to ensure safety for yourself, pedestrians and vehicles.
3. Drill Recommendations
| Surface | Recommendation |
|---|
| Bitumen | Cut bitumen to a square at least bollard width + 100mm, then dig to a depth of at least 600mm |
| Concrete | Core drill with a bit at least bollard width + 100mm, then dig to a depth of at least 400mm |
| Sand / soil | Dig a 350mm × 350mm concrete footing to a depth of at least 600mm |
4. Install Bollard
Place the bollard assembly in the centre of the installation hole.
5. Concrete
Mix and prepare concrete according to instructions, then pour evenly into the site.
6. Inspect
Inspect the bollard to ensure it is level.
7. Time to Cure
Allow 2–3 days minimum for concrete to cure before beginning construction work on the surface.
Moisture and cool temperatures may slow the curing process.
Filling of Bollards
We do not recommend filling bollards with concrete, as a hard impact may cause the bollard to snap at the base.
If filling is required, we recommend sand or loose gravel, which still allows the bollard to bend on impact.
Note:
These recommendations are a guideline only and may not account for site-specific conditions.
