Description
Heavy-Duty Security with the 114mm x 1800mm Inground Bollard
The 114mm x 1800mm Inground Bollard (Safety Yellow) provides a high-strength, permanent security solution. We designed this industrial-grade post for superior impact resistance and maximum visibility. Because it features an extended length of 1.8 metres, you can anchor it deep into the substrate. Consequently, it creates a formidable physical barrier for loading docks, commercial zones, and critical infrastructure. Furthermore, this system ensures uncompromising protection for any high-traffic property.
Key Features
Deep-Anchor Stability: This model stands at a total length of 1800mm for deep installation into a concrete footing. The base features two 25mm hold-down lugs. As a result, the bollard remains rock-solid and cannot be twisted or removed once the concrete cures.
Dual-Layer Corrosion Protection: We Hot-Dip Galvanise each unit after manufacturing to prevent rust. Next, we apply a UV-stable Safety Yellow powder coat. Therefore, the finish offers maximum protection against the harsh Australian climate and daily wear.
High-Impact Structural Design: This 15kg bollard offers exceptional strength with a 114mm diameter and 3.9mm wall thickness. It also features a removable plastic cap. This allows you to fill the hollow core with concrete on-site for significantly increased stopping power.
Versatile Permanent Installation: You can easily install this system into an excavated or core-drilled hole. Use a concrete footing or high-strength epoxy for a permanent fit. Consequently, it provides an ideal choice for areas where surface mounting is not sufficient.
Formidable Protection for Critical Infrastructure
We engineered this unit for maximum stability and long-term durability. It effectively secures warehouse entries, pedestrian walkways, and stationary machinery. Additionally, the heavy-duty steel construction creates a reliable physical deterrent against vehicle intrusions. Each post ensures your site stays protected while maintaining a clean, professional finish that integrates into the surrounding landscape.
Professional Site Safety Applications
This inground system works perfectly for both new commercial developments and industrial retrofits. For instance, it provides an economical way to protect storefronts and expensive equipment. Many customers also use these bollards to safeguard private parking bays or sensitive assets. Overall, it offers a professional solution that balances high-level security with long-lasting performance.

Inground Bollard Installation
1. Locate
Find where the bollards will be installed.
2. Check for Hazards
Always check for hazards such as water pipes, gas lines and underground wiring before digging.
Also check traffic conditions to ensure safety for yourself, pedestrians and vehicles.
3. Drill Recommendations
| Surface | Recommendation |
|---|
| Bitumen | Cut bitumen to a square at least bollard width + 100mm, then dig to a depth of at least 600mm |
| Concrete | Core drill with a bit at least bollard width + 100mm, then dig to a depth of at least 400mm |
| Sand / soil | Dig a 350mm × 350mm concrete footing to a depth of at least 600mm |
4. Install Bollard
Place the bollard assembly in the centre of the installation hole.
5. Concrete
Mix and prepare concrete according to instructions, then pour evenly into the site.
6. Inspect
Inspect the bollard to ensure it is level.
7. Time to Cure
Allow 2–3 days minimum for concrete to cure before beginning construction work on the surface.
Moisture and cool temperatures may slow the curing process.
Filling of Bollards
We do not recommend filling bollards with concrete, as a hard impact may cause the bollard to snap at the base.
If filling is required, we recommend sand or loose gravel, which still allows the bollard to bend on impact.
Note:
These recommendations are a guideline only and may not account for site-specific conditions.
