Retractable Bollard Installation (114mm)
1. Locate
Find where the bollards will be installed.
2. Check for Hazards
Always check for hazards such as water pipes, gas lines and underground wiring before digging.
Also check traffic conditions to ensure safety for yourself, pedestrians and vehicles.
3. Drill Recommendations

| Bitumen | Cut bitumen to a 300–320mm square, then auger with a 220mm auger to a minimum depth of 1150mm to allow for gravel / drainage / blue metal. |
| Concrete | Core drill with a 315mm bit, then auger with a 220mm auger to a minimum depth of 1150mm to allow for gravel / drainage / blue metal. |
4. Drainage
Allow for drainage by adding gravel, blue metal or drainage rock.
5. Install Bollard
Tape over the bottom of the bollard to prevent loose material entering the sleeve
(the tape will degrade over time to allow drainage).
Place the bollard assembly in the centre of the installation hole.
Ensure the top edge of the receiver sits approximately 5mm above ground level.
6. Back Fill
Backfill around the sleeve along with surrounding ground to allow for 140–160mm of concrete at the top of the hole.
7. Concrete
Mix and prepare the concrete according to instructions and pour evenly into the site.
The concrete should be slightly raised towards the top edge of the receiver to create a small berm.
Avoid disrupting the bollard assembly.
8. Inspect
Test the bollard mechanism to ensure it operates correctly.
Check the bollard is level and sits flush with the surface top plate.
9. Time to Cure
Allow 2–3 days minimum for concrete to cure before beginning construction work on the surface.
Moisture and cool temperatures may slow the curing process.

Returns
Changed your mind or not happy with your order? No problem. We accept returns within 30 days of delivery provided items are unused and in original packaging. Just get in touch and we’ll guide you through it.

Damaged or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we’ll sort it out at no cost to you. Email sales@bollardshop.com.au with your order number and a photo and we’ll get straight onto it.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return we’ll notify you within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method — typically 3–5 business days depending on your bank.

Warranty
Many of our products include a manufacturer’s warranty covering structural and manufacturing defects — typically 1, 2, or 5 years from purchase. The warranty period for each product is shown in the product description.
To make a claim, contact us on 1300 766 003 or email sales@bollardshop.com.au with your proof of purchase and photos. If your claim is approved we’ll arrange a replacement, repair, or refund and cover the cost of sending it back to you.
Not covered: normal wear and tear, cosmetic variations, damage from improper installation or modification, or damage occurring after delivery.
