Description
Dependable Safety with the 90mm x 1500mm In-Ground Bollard
The 90mm In-Ground Bollard is a steadfast security solution designed to provide reliable protection for your property. We engineered this 12kg steel post to offer a durable physical barrier that seamlessly integrates into various commercial and residential surroundings. Because it features a 90mm diameter and a 3.9mm wall thickness, it provides a tough deterrent against unauthorised vehicular access. This robust bollard ensures your facility remains secure and clearly marked for many years.
Key Features
Dual-Layer Corrosion Protection: We hot-dip galvanise each unit after manufacturing to provide a comprehensive protective coating. This process is followed by a durable Safety Yellow powder coat. These layers allow the bollard to withstand harsh Australian elements while maintaining a professional, high-visibility appearance.
High-Visibility Safety Tape: Each bollard features a Class 1 Red and White reflective band with a distinct diagonal-stripe pattern. This striking safety tape provides improved night vision and helps drivers identify the barrier in low-light conditions. Consequently, this feature significantly reduces the risk of accidental collisions in busy environments.
Permanent In-Ground Stability: Standing at a total length of 1500mm, this unit is designed for secure sub-surface installation in concrete or paved surfaces. The base features two 25mm hold-down lugs. These lugs ensure a permanent, non-twist anchor once you set the post, providing dependable resistance against vehicle impacts.
Professional Finishes: Each bollard is fitted with a matching yellow domed metal cap for a clean and finished look. This design prevents water or debris from entering the post, which increases the overall longevity of the steel. This creates a professional solution that balances high-level security with a polished aesthetic.
Formidable Protection for Versatile Landscapes
We built this 12kg unit for maximum durability and everyday reliability. It effectively manages safety for private driveways and commercial shopfronts. Additionally, the heavy-duty steel construction creates a reliable physical barrier against vehicle intrusions. Each post ensures your most valuable assets stay protected while clearly marking boundaries for drivers. Furthermore, the high-visibility red and white tape ensures the bollard remains a clear deterrent day and night.
Professional Site Safety Applications
This in-ground system works perfectly for both new developments and quick retrofits. For instance, it provides an economical way to protect walkways and sensitive equipment from accidental damage. Many customers also use these 90mm bollards to secure private parking bays and residential perimeters. Overall, it offers a professional solution that balances high-level security with long-lasting performance.

Inground Bollard Installation
1. Locate
Find where the bollards will be installed.
2. Check for Hazards
Always check for hazards such as water pipes, gas lines and underground wiring before digging.
Also check traffic conditions to ensure safety for yourself, pedestrians and vehicles.
3. Drill Recommendations
| Surface | Recommendation |
|---|
| Bitumen | Cut bitumen to a square at least bollard width + 100mm, then dig to a depth of at least 600mm |
| Concrete | Core drill with a bit at least bollard width + 100mm, then dig to a depth of at least 400mm |
| Sand / soil | Dig a 350mm × 350mm concrete footing to a depth of at least 600mm |
4. Install Bollard
Place the bollard assembly in the centre of the installation hole.
5. Concrete
Mix and prepare concrete according to instructions, then pour evenly into the site.
6. Inspect
Inspect the bollard to ensure it is level.
7. Time to Cure
Allow 2–3 days minimum for concrete to cure before beginning construction work on the surface.
Moisture and cool temperatures may slow the curing process.
Filling of Bollards
We do not recommend filling bollards with concrete, as a hard impact may cause the bollard to snap at the base.
If filling is required, we recommend sand or loose gravel, which still allows the bollard to bend on impact.
Note:
These recommendations are a guideline only and may not account for site-specific conditions.
